Asanita Agricultural Processing Company Limited
About Asanita
Asanita Agricultural Processing Company Limited is an integrated agro-energy company developing sustainable bioethanol and renewable energy infrastructure in Nigeria.
Based in Edo State, Asanita is developing a bioethanol plant that will convert locally grown cassava into high-purity bioethanol for clean cooking, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, industrial, and transport fuel applications.
Our operations are powered by renewable biomass energy and designed to convert waste streams into valuable products. Through this integrated model, Asanita strengthens Nigeria’s energy security, reduces import dependence, and delivers long-term economic, social, and environmental benefits.
To be a leading African platform for sustainable agro-processing and renewable energy solutions.
To convert agricultural resources into clean energy, industrial products, and shared prosperity through innovation and responsible operations.
Asanita develops and operates integrated, zero-waste facilities that combine clean energy production, sustainable agriculture, and industrial manufacturing.
Our platform includes:
This integrated structure improves efficiency, reduces operating risk, and enhances long-term resilience.
Bioethanol plays a central role in Nigeria’s clean energy and industrial future. It supports:
Edo State offers a strong foundation for sustainable bioethanol production due to its agricultural capacity, strategic location, and supportive operating environment.
The region provides access to high-volume cassava production, established transport links, and proximity to key domestic markets. This positioning strengthens feedstock security while supporting inclusive agricultural development through nucleus farming and out-grower schemes.
Asanita is developing an integrated platform comprising:

Together, these components operate as a single, resilient industrial ecosystem.

Asanita offers investors the opportunity to participate in the development of a large-scale, integrated bioethanol and renewable energy platform in Nigeria.
Strong and growing demand across energy, industrial, and consumer applications
Nigeria’s ethanol demand is estimated at 450 litres annually, driven by pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, beverage, and industrial applications, with imports still supplying 80% of consumption. Biofuel ethanol demand is projected to reach 570M litres by 2030, signaling demand expansion.
Multiple revenue streams across a circular bioeconomy model
Ethanol production is complemented by CO₂ recovery, animal feed (HQCP), and biomass power integration, creating diversified and resilient income streams.
Commercial engagement pipeline includes approximately $13M+ in structured offtake discussions, anchored around industrial buyers across clean cooking, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics segments.
Low-carbon industrial model with inclusive agricultural impact
The model integrates low-carbon fuel production, circular biomass utilization, and smallholder farmer inclusion across 2,500+ hectares, creating over 7500 direct & indirect jobs. This aligns with global sustainable industrial investment frameworks.
Asanita is developing integrated, zero-waste facilities that combine clean energy production, sustainable agriculture, and industrial manufacturing. Each product is designed to meet domestic demand while reinforcing Asanita’s zero-waste, circular economy approach.
Bioethanol provides a clean and efficient alternative to traditional cooking fuels such as firewood and charcoal, enabling safer indoor cooking and improved air quality.
Asanita’s production is structured to support scalable ethanol supply for clean cooking applications, including household energy distributors and manufacturers of ethanol-based cookstove technologies.
Designed to enable consistent, large-scale supply as demand for clean cooking solutions expands across Nigeria and similar markets.
High-purity ethanol is a critical input for pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and personal care manufacturing, where consistency, purity, and supply reliability are essential.
Asanita supports domestic manufacturers with locally produced ethanol, reducing import dependence and strengthening supply chain stability.
Production is designed to meet quality and consistency requirements for industrial users, supporting long-term supply relationships
Bioethanol is widely used as a blending component in transport fuels to improve combustion efficiency and reduce emissions.
With Nigeria’s E10 blending framework, demand for fuel-grade ethanol is expected to grow significantly. Asanita is positioned to support this transition through reliable local production.
Output is being developed to support structured supply to fuel blenders and downstream energy stakeholders.
Carbon dioxide generated during ethanol production is captured and refined into food-grade CO₂ for industrial applications.
This product serves beverage manufacturers, food processors, and industrial users requiring a reliable CO₂ supply for carbonation, preservation, and process applications.
Cassava peel residues from processing are converted into High Quality Cassava Peel Mash (HQCP), providing a cost-effective and locally available input for livestock production.
This stream strengthens agricultural efficiency by transforming waste into a structured input supply while supporting livestock sector productivity.
Asanita collaborates with leading institutions across agriculture, technology, sustainability, and advisory services.
IDH–PIND has provided grant support for the empowerment of 2,500 youth outgrower farmers through the Women in Sourcing & Enterprise (WISE) program, supporting the cultivation of 2,500 hectares of cassava feedstock.
